Letter from the Editor-In-Chief
It is a pleasure to present the first issue of the sixth volume of the Spanish Journal of Soil Science. It contains articles derived from the VII Simposio Nacional sobre Control de la Degradación y Restauración de Suelos (Seventh National Symposium on Control of Soil Degradation and Restoration) held in Bilbao in June 2015, with Lur Epelde and Carlos Garbisu as guest editors.
Lately land degradation in southern Europe is causing pollution and Technosol management problems that are leading to an even greater impact than soil erosion had since the middle of last century. The issue you have in your hands is a good reflection of this situation, which also presents, among others, methodologies to holistically address soil health and remediation.
On behalf of the editorial team, we thank the authors for sending the manuscripts, the guest editors for their rigor in the selection and review of manuscripts, the referees for the quality of their reviews, and the team Universia for its professionalism.
Sincerely,
Rosa M. Poch
